Scouting for Food is a food collection effort carried out by the Boy Scouts in the Treasure Valley. Scouts will distribute donation requests and plastic grocery bags on Treasure Valley neighborhood doorsteps starting November 3, 2012 and will then return to collect plastic grocery bags filled with donated food on November 10th. The bags are collected and carried to local checkpoints where they are then loaded onto Idaho Foodbank trucks for transport to the Foodbank warehouse.

This event is proudly sponsored by Camille Beckman, SWI Professional Truck Driving, Ore-Idaho Council Boy Scouts and The Idaho Foodbank.

Through initiative and hard work, the Boy Scouts have developed a framework that can help feed thousands within their community.  They cannot do this alone; it is up to the people in each community to make Scouting for Food a success. So, when you see a Scouting for Food bag at your door, please fill it up and help these noble Scouts provide hunger relief in your community.

Please place your donations in a bag and place it outside your doorstep on Saturday morning, November 10th, by 8AM.  If your donation has not been picked up by NOON, you can drop off your donation at the following locations:
