Senior Site Manager
Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Hourly
Pay Range: $11.50 to $12.00 per hour
Supervisor: Coordinator of Children’s Services
Appraiser: Coordinator of Children’s Services

Start Date: June 5 through August 22, July 4th OFF
Mandatory Training Dates: May 29th, 30th or 31st and June 2 or 3 AND June 4

Job Summary: Responsible for operations of SSFP by safely and effectively overseeing the safe handling, loading, transport, and serving of foods to children in assigned areas. As well as facilitate and direct recreational activities and services. Responsible as well for driving The Idaho Foodbank truck from Centennial Job Corps to central distribution hub and back. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain a valid drivers license, insurance and a clean driving record

  • Must 21 or older

  • Enjoy working with children

  • Able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines, works quickly in intense settings and follows instructions

  • Clean and neat appearance

  • Can cope with physical requirements of job, working outdoors in parks, lifting minimum of 40 lbs.

  • Highly organized and motivated

  • Flexible and able to think quickly on feet

  • Must have adequate transportation

  • Must be able to pass a national background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, inventory and transport all the meals from Nampa to the central hub in Boise.

  • Keeping food and revenue losses to a minimum

  • Record keeping and counting

  • Distribute meals in an organized manner

  • Record temperatures of equipment and food at time of service

  • Safe food handling and storage

  • Transport hot and cold food,

  • Helps set up park picnic site

  • Distributes food to children, 1-18, may make addl. sandwiches on site

  • Takes meal counts and completes paperwork

  • Helps break down site/return unused items

  • Operation of this program is to be in full compliance with the federal Simplified Summer Feeding Program (SSFP) as operated within Idaho, in cooperation with the agencies that the Foodbank serves and reflect positively on the values and culture of The Idaho Foodbank.

  • Driving all returned items to Nampa and unloading truck

  • All duties and actions shall always be consistent with The Idaho Foodbank’s vision of a state free of hunger.


Site Manager
Classification: Temporary, Part-Time, Hourly
Pay Range: $9.50 - $11.00 per hour

Job Summary: Prepare and cook meals for children at the club. Manage the Boise hub for other sites. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Kitchen experience preferred,

  • Experience and/or commitment to helping address the nutritional needs of low income children.

  • Must be a self-starter and have adequate transportation.

  • Able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Works quickly and follows instructions

  • Clean and neat appearance

  • Can cope with physical requirements of job

  • Working near hot ovens, in cold storage units, working outdoors in parks, able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

  • Highly organized and motivated

  • Strong project management skills

  • Good attendance and punctuality a must

  • Must be able to pass a national background check.

Responsibilities:

  • This includes development and maintenance of relationships with Moseley Boys & Girls Club, program sites, and the general community.

  • Prepares food according to assigned menu and food safety requirements

  • Reinforces the practice of frequent hand washing and takes steps to prevent cross contamination

  • Supervise other employees

  • Keeps accurate records of amounts used and amounts needed

  • Clean up.

On Site Kitchen Supervisor
Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Hourly
Pay Scale: $10.75 to $11.50 per hour
Supervisor: Coordinator of Children’s Services
Appraiser: Coordinator of Children’s Services

Start Date: June 5 through August 22, July 4th OFF
Mandatory Training Dates: May 29th, 30th or 31st and June 2 or 3 AND June 4

Job Summary: Liaison between The Idaho Foodbank (IFB) and Centennial Job Corps (CJC). Over see and help manage the daily food preparation and cooking. Responsible for weekly student evaluations, food inventory, supply inventory, and food orders. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Kitchen experience preferred

  • Experience and/or commitment to helping address the nutritional needs of low income children

  • Must be a self-starter and have adequate transportation

  • Able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Works quickly and follows instructions

  • Clean and neat appearance

  • Can cope with physical requirements of job, able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. working near hot ovens, in cold storage units, working outdoors in parks

  • Highly organized and motivated

  • Strong project management skills, attendance and punctuality a must

  • Must be able to pass a national background check

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with Centennial Job Corps, FSA, and the general community.

  • Receive product at the kitchen

  • Maintain a record of delivery receipts

  • Stock and retrieve items from storage areas

  • Establish and maintain inventory records for all food and non-food items

  • Oversee and assist CJC students

  • Put in place and maintain food safety handling procedures (HAACP) throughout food preparation, distribution, and cleanup

  • Assemble items in an orderly way for transport.
